This article details how to upload a file to a customers “Document” tab in the Customer module. Once the file has been uploaded it can then be emailed, viewed and/or removed from the documents tab by anyone that has access to this tab.
Navigate to the Customers Module, search the customers information and double click their entry to load their profile.
Next, click the Documents tab, right click in the white area and select “Add Document”.
A window will load where you can navigate to where the file is, double click the file and it will be uploaded. Once uploaded, you can specify a document type should you want to categorize the file, and add any optional comments.
The acceptable files types for uploading are .pdf,.xls,.xlsx,.doc,.docx,.rtf,.txt,.bmp,.png,.jpg,.gif.
The default file size limit is 8 megabytes. If the file you are trying to upload exceeds 8 megabytes, please contact your customer support representative for additional options.
File names shouldn’t have more than a single period which is at the end of the file name.
