Within Staffing Complete you can export information from multiple areas and either save on the server, or to your local machine. This article will detail the steps on the areas that you can export from, and how to specify where you’re exporting to. Keep in mind that the process to save something locally may differ from the below steps due to different local configurations.

Exporting From Staffing Complete

Staffing Complete offers a wide range of areas that you can export data from. Most areas in the software that have a grid of information will give you a right click> Export to Excel option as shown below.

The most common area that exporting occurs is from the Reports module as it provides the widest range of information, as well as multiple methods to export the information. After running your report, the “Report” tab provides a print button, and three additional icons shown below:

Lastly, the reports “Data” tab will display the grid version of the report. While this tab typically displays more information than the report tab, it may not be as user friendly to view the information.

Regardless of where you’re exporting from, you’ll be given the option to specify where you’d like the file to be exported to, be it on the server or locally. You can specify the location of where you want the file to export to by clicking the folder or ellipses icons on the export screens as shown below.

Exporting To Your Computer

When saving to your local computer, you’ll need to specify where on your local machine you wish the file to be exported to, which will look different from computer to computer as it deals with navigating your local files. After clicking the ellipses/folder, first specify your local drive which in the below example is the C drive. Next you’ll likely want to select you user account for your computer by selecting the “Users” folder, then the user account you use.

From here you’ll probably see files that are familiar to you, and you can select your desktop, then either specify a folder or click save to put the file directly on your desktop. Depending on your method of exporting you may have one last button to click to “execute” the export.

This shows you how to save the file to your local desktop, however you can save the file anywhere you like on your local computer. Depending on the size of the file and your internet connection, this method may take several minutes.

Exporting To The Server

Should you wish to save the export to the server, you’ll follow the same steps to export the file, but upon clicking the ellipses you’ll specify either the “Company Share” folder (which is accessible to everyone at your company as a shared space) or the folder that shows your name (which is accessible only to you). If you select your own name, you’ll then select the “My Documents” folder and click save/execute, and the file will be saved on the server. As saving to the server is faster than to your local machine, many users will opt to save the file to the server, then copy (CTRL+C) the file from the server and paste (CTRL+P) the file to their desktop/desired folder.

You can’t save files to the server desktop and will need to utilize folders on the server.
